"Holi"-days
Many years ago as
a part of self examination we began to evaluate why we were celebrating modern American "holidays"
as we had done all of our lives. Was there another reason other than "we always have"? We questioned
why there is more depression, stress and even suicides than any other time of year that shroud our modern American holidays. Did
the symbols and traditions reflect our commitment to Yahweh God? Or were we fabricating false gods and then saying we were going to use them to honor Yahweh as Israel did with the golden calf (Ex. 32:4-6)?
Very surprisingly our research lead us to the clear conclusion that most modern American holidays are far
more commercial than Biblical. Surprisingly, we also found that many of the traditional decorations and traditions
of the modern American
holidays have either non-biblical,
ungodly roots or at the very least significant pagan attributes contributed to them.
Also, in keeping with the Biblical values of early America, we discovered that modern
American holidays such as easter, halloween and many of the others were either ignored, or - as in the case of "christmass" - they were previously declared illegal
in America.

these issues as well so that you can know of what you are a part. We have resources available and would be glad

Biblical Holy-Days
As Yahweh God proclaimed "Be Holy as I am Holy"(1st Peter 1:16); in honor of Him we chose to discontinue most modern American holidays that
we had previously been recognizing in exchange for the Biblical "holy-days" (also referred to as "Appointed
Times" / "Feasts / Mo'edim) that are clearly expressed in Levitcus 23 and many other places throughout all of the Bible.
Some
people have mistakenly been lead to believe that these Appointed Times / Feasts are "Jewish Holidays".
However the Bible clearly reveals to us that they are not "Jewish Holidays", American Holidays or any one else's.
These Appointed Times are designed, initiated and implemented by Yahweh God and they are His alone. We are
simply blessed and honored by responding to His invitation.
Available for all who have committed themselves to Yahweh; these special and joyous occasions are anticipated throughout the year. As "Holy Convocations"; at Living Water Homestead of Faith the annual Appointed Times are are precious opportunities for individuals, families and Frontier Fellowships to gather together in unity.
These are
the feasts (Appointed Times) of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. Leviticus 23:4
