"...much of what is called Christianity today is not the Christianity of
the New Testament; it is distinctly different.... Jesus is not the fountainhead of modern Christianity. He is
scarcely thought about.
Oswald Chambers 1874 - 1917 author
of My Utmost for His Highest Daily Devotional Bible, p. 586
The Godly
faith, principles and morals that America was founded upon are what caused America to be blessed by God and prosper in
those beginning years. But generally speaking, today's mainstream religion doesn't even resemble the Christianity of
early America. For some interesting information regarding this please click here. There certainly are exceptions; However, generally speaking, there is hardly a comparison
to be made between the watered down, pagan influenced, compromising 501(c)3"church" clubs of today and the Christianity of early America which, generally speaking, was not unfamiliar with it's Hebrew roots. For
example; when was the last time you heard words like those of Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, D. L. Moody and George Whitefield,
quoted here , in your corner church?

Regardless of what they may call themselves; those pictured here
do not represent true Christianity. They do however represent the level of degradation
that exists in modern, main stream, American religion. This depravity has been allowed to flourish as the result of
a sin of silence committed by so-called leaders (see below for examples) and others.
homosexual "pastors"
These issues are so prevalent in American mainstream
religion today that many true Christians are declining to associate with it. Opting for identifiers such as "Disciple
of the Messiah", Believer, or nothing at all; many true Christians are now leaving corporate, 501(C)3 churches and even avoiding the term Christian because they don't want to be associated with the blasphemous apostasy so readily identified
in American mainstream religion.
"Wide is the gate and wide is the way to God"
Who would have ever thought that
Billy Graham would have preached a message like this. I grew up listening to Billy Graham and watching his crusades
on television. I even went to one once. How sad it is to hear from his own mouth how he strayed from the gospel
that he once preached so well.
Watch the video and listen to both Billy Graham and Robert Schuller preach this
false gospel.
John Hagee is a main stay in American main stream religion.
Along with leading a very large organization (other than his "church") and broadcasting on television, he is also
a best selling author, Pastors a large church and has a huge following besides (including some extremely well known people).
Watch and listen to him talk in this video as he introduces one of his books. He is full of doublespeak
but there are a couple of things that are intelligible; One is he says that Yeshua did not come to earth
to be the Messiah and another is Yeshua never claimed to be the Messiah.
I know; if you have known of John Hagee it's hard to believe but watch the video and listen for yourself.
But then hey, don't worry about
it... all you have to do is pay your tithe and you can get connected right up to your god just that fast. Nothing
else matters. But then be careful .... if you go to Creflo DOLLARS church you could get shot and buried if you
don't pay his tithe. Watch the video and hear for yourself.
Tod Bentley is one of America's most popular "Pastors"
I was a little surprised to find out that
the Eastlake Community Church in Bothell, Washington, recently held a huge tailgate party right in the "sanctuary"
of their "church" building.
The mega church
drew a crowd of over 1,500 people that came to watch the playoff game. With three 10 by 20 overhead
screens the church was blaring with demonic music such as AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses. "Pastor" Ryan Meeks
gave a morning sermon on “Why Christians Should Be World-Class Partiers.” The flock took
that sermon to heart later on as many were drunk. The article explains, “…members of East Lake Community Church streamed out with smiles, empty beer bottles and, perhaps unlike a sports bar, a sense of grace.”
What was really sad is how the Pastor made degrading remarks about the Messiah. In reference the first miracle Yeshua
did at the wedding, Meeks said, "here's the son of God playing open bar tender at a week-long party".
He went on to say, "It was a declaration of who he was and what he was about". This material is from

As previously mentioned,
certainly there are exceptions, however the modern Christian "Church" is often difficult
to distinguish from many of the other community organizations and recreational opportunities
that abound today.
The famed Nineteenth Century revivalist Charles
G. Finney had some powerful words for the Pastors of his day; They are even more applicable for today's
Christian "Church" leaders
He
said, "If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the world loses its interest in Christianity,
the pulpit is responsible for it.
If Satan rules
in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the
pulpit is responsible for it."
