Favored Righteousness

On October 3, 1789 American President George Washington wrote a Presidential Proclamation for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The proclamation began like this:

“Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor;...”

Notice that in this proclamation George Washington petitioned El' Shaddai's (God Almighty's) favor.

Psalm 5:12 says:
For thou, Yahweh, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. KJV

George Washington is known as the Father of America. When we read what George Washington said and did it is clear that he intimately knew Yahweh and that he also received God's favor.

Could it be (at least in part) that because George Washington was “connected” and “favored” that Yahweh God faithfully answered his prayers, for wisdom of leadership, safety for his men, their families and prosperity for this young new nation that wanted to be free from the tyranny of England so that they could freely serve Yahweh, the God of the Bible?

Could it be that America was blessed as a result of George Washington's righteousness and his relationship with Yahweh? Could that be part of the reason why America has prospered so much in her short life?

I absolutely and strongly believe that as George Washington lead other like minded individuals; it was the relationship which he, and those with him, had with the Creator of the Universe, Yahweh, and His Son Yeshua, that allowed and even caused this country of America to receive the many blessings that it has enjoyed.

For thou, Yahweh, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12 says:KJV

“For the nation and kingdom that shall not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.”
Isaiah 60:12.

Barely a few people living in the land of America know they have been blessed by President Washington's righteious commitment to Yahweh, the God of the Bible and the prayers that he offered up to his God.

Do you want to live in a lawless, war torn, drought stricken piece of dirt like many other god forsaken countries around the world today? Or would you rather live in a country that is full of life and shielded by God's favor?

As recorded in the anals of history regarding both ancient Israel and America, the prescription for a healthy nation is one part Godly righteousness mixed firmly together with one part action (Dt.6:5-6).

I believe that America was blessed in its developing years because of righteous and favored Godly men and women who offered up their many prayers and even their very lives to God. Acting on these prayers these committed men and women took action to meet the needs of a growing nation. A nation comprised of individuals; individuals who chose godly righteousness as a way of life.

The National Day of Prayer is the first thursday of may. This is but one opportunity you have to join with others in righteousness. As those who have gone before us; help take a stand for righteousness.

If you truly want to experience the blessings that only Yahweh can provide individually, as a family, as a congregation and nationally then favor Him today. Seek Him first in all areas of your life (Mt. 6:33). Proclaim His righteousness and liberty through out the land! Then, together as a nation of God's people, we will stand strong in His might to proclaim victory!!
