Even though most of my messages contain much more meat then the typical corner church, as a “Pastor” I have some times been accused of delivering teachings that are “basic”. Over the years I have surmised that when I have heard this, what the person is trying to tell me is that the message they are referring to is not complicated. Although I have been known to provide over fifty Scripture verses in one message; I have concluded that what they are saying is that the message is not overly, theologically challenging.

I appreciate constructive criticism. I appreciate someone caring enough about me to want me to improve. But it’s interesting; when ever I hear this “criticism” I always consider the source. I can’t remember this criticism ever being given to me in a spirit of encouraging me to improve. And never has the criticism originated from someone who walks the talk. Rather this sort of critique has always originated from someone who talks the walk and then leaves the heavy lifting to others.

What does this have to do with Sustainable Living? In regards to SustainableLiving my philosophy and approach is exactly the same. Keep it Simple ________ Soldier.

Thus saith Yahaweh, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
Jeremiah 6:16

In the area of Sustainable Living, or what ever issue you are addressing, Seek Yahweh God, research, pray, contemplate and meditate. Make sure ALL your bases are well covered, as much as practical, and then after, only after that is achieved, only then should we consider expanding our horizon and focusing on less traveled areas of more meticulous consideration.

From my experience; for most of us, just providing for the most basic needs of our spirit, soul and body is a full-time proposition.

I’ll see you out in the field,
